Client Rights & Consumer Information

In accordance with Texas House Bill 4224 and Texas Health and Safety Code §181.105, Therapy HTX, PLLC provides the following information regarding your rights as a consumer of mental health services.

Requesting Your Health Records

Clients may request access to their healthcare records by submitting a written request through the secure SimplePractice Client Portal or by contacting Therapy HTX at info@therapyhtx.com.

Records requests will be processed in accordance with applicable state and federal privacy laws.

Contacting the Licensing Authority

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) oversees the licensing and regulation of marriage and family therapists and other behavioral health professionals in Texas.

Filing a Consumer Complaint

Consumers may file complaints through the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.
